on and on it goes

Have been told by the Foundation I need 12 weeks of after care? this is their way of having someone else sign off on their program.they will tell you it is covered by your insurance company, not true, it's a legal matter.

  1. Wow!! You are going to be even more upset after you complete your aftercare and then they tell you now you get another hoop to jump thru.

  2. My friend just went through the same thing with them. She is going to take them to court over stealing her money

  3. I am in the same situation with these people. Only they have me stonewalled because I went for a red flag hearing. Now they are making it impossible to complete the aftercare, thus making it impossible for me to attain my license. I have a friend who works for the paper. I'd like to bring this foundation down. Feel free to contact me.

  4. I have my Exit interview tomorrow, hoping for no aftercare because i already went through rehab and jail after my conviction... but by the sounds of it i guess im getting a red flag hearing. this whole setup is a bunch of BS. I would love to see this organization brought to its knees.

  5. I just went to the weekend program and they literally screw you over. I went to my exit interview and was told Amethyst foundation thought i was an alcoholic. Even though im 23 and barely drink. Its almost funny that i would be labeled as an alcoholic and when you try to deny you are one. They will say well first sign of alcholism is denial. This whole foundation is a money making program trying to stop the whole world from drinking because they are the miserable ones as you can see by there mood and manners. So i sent the thing in for my red flag hearing hopefully i get a trial soon because this is bullshit

  6. If you need affordable aftercare or a second opinion evaluation, fees are based on a sliding scale of your income and ability to pay. Please call 603-998-4210. I am a NH LADC and MA CADAC and I have an office in Franklin, NH.

  7. stfu NH LADC we dont need people like you, your whole business is a fraud and is a money making scheme for all those people who don't drink. Ive been to AA meetings and those people are the most miserable people on earth that whole AA is like a cult. This is bullshit and amethyst foundation is a bunch of lonely mothers who have nothing else to do with their spare time.

  8. can anyone give advice on how to avoid a red flag hearing in the first place what do you need to do to make them happy???

  9. I think the place is a sham and somehow would love to expose them for what they really are! I have already been 6 mos without my license on a first offense. They totally lie to you and tell you they are there to help you and all they do is get you to incriminate yourself so they can make you look like a severe alcoholic. Whatever you do if you go there dummy up! Don't tell them you drank before 21 and if your parents ever drank don't tell them you will be stuck in aftercare forever and the ladc counselors on their list are in on it and will also keep making you into an alcoholic too.

  10. Hey KylieStills. Have you done anything about bringing that foundation down. I got 4-6 aftercare sessions and just went to the first one today. Paid a 125 dollars to answer the same fucking questions again and didnt even get a full hour. I would like to help bring these bloodsucking bastards down. ive never been so infuriated in my life!

  11. I went to that SHITHOLE a few years ago & like everything else with New Hampshire's F----d up system is that they want your $$$! You pay for a lawer, pay your fine, do the time without your license & have to go see one of these idiots that knows nothing about the outside world & thinks that their gonna save it!
Well put them in Afganastan & tell them to save them or tell the truth that they are all stupid & playing pass the buck because I don't think that they can even wipe their own asses, it's a good thing that they have Depends for them because they need them!!!

  12. I Went to there counter part R.E.A.P (Serenity Place) in Manchester NH. they too are blood sucking bastards who extend your loss of license by months. I Plead guilty to DUI because I was told by the DA that I would get my Lic. back in 90 days. Guess what...almost 180 days now and still no license and I have no idea when or If i will get it back for my 1st time offense. Because i failed that BOGUS (RIASI test) which Predicts if your going to do this in the future .....PREDICTS...seriously you blood sucking bastards can predict the future...if so why don't you predict the fucking Lottery numbers...oh wait..you make more $$ off of your clients who are struggling to feed there family then winning the lottery.

I was told I have to take all these LADC vists at 140.00 a visit...Thanks REAP...its only my children's frigin grocery shopping bill every week.

  13. I have been trying to get my license back now for 5 months and was given after care because of these dumb test saying I will so it again...I am at my wits end and not sure how much longer I can go not driving and in turn not working because of it. I was given 6-8 aftercare sessions and have done 3 now...am I an idiot to think I will be all set in 3-5 sessions???

    ReplyDelete
  14. I went to Amethyst in the fall and was given 6 to 8 sessions of after-care. I ended up going to after-care for 4 months because Amethyst said I was a substance abuser, which requires 4 months of self-reported abstinence before they will consider your treatment complete. So, watch what you say at Amethyst (not that it makes a difference, it seems) and when you get to aftercare, "I stopped drinking right after my DWI (or whatever got you there)" or "I stopped when I went to Amethyst." Whether you did or not!

    ReplyDelete
  15. So true... watch what you say and claim that you have never drank after the DWI.. and stick to the story

  16. Hi Kylie and fellow victims,

I'm in aftercare right now: four months of LADC and six months of AA. Mandatory AA is unconstitutional. I will sue, but only after I get my license back.

These idiots declared me an alcoholic. LADCs are only required to have a GED or HS diploma and don't know sh*t. They are all former burned out alkies on a holy crusade. I have three doctors who laughed at their diagnosis.

This whole scam stinks to hell. Amethyst House made over $1 million (tax free) last year. They hire lobbyists. NH is funding an entire recovery industry made up of Alcoholic Anonymous fanatics who see an alcoholic/druggy in everyone they meet.

Do not trust them. They are not there to help you. They are hateful, spiteful, stupid people and will punish you as much as they are able. Say as little as possible. Lie as much as possible. They will try as hard as they can to get you to admit you are an alcoholic, then assign you tons of "aftercare" followed by "after-aftercare."

I'm trying to take the bastards down. Help me do it. My blog is called Forced Worship and is at:

If you have any dirt, please contact me via my blog. I found their Corporate Filing records and I'll find more. I hope the rot in h3ll.

One of the DA’s knows about this as do the attorney’s, but they don’t want to do anything (obviously because it makes them money!). These courses should not be done by private, scam, unprofessional, unethical companies! Document, document, document.

  18. i did amethyst's after care. some counseling and some aa. but 1 evening i had dinner with my father ( who i rarely see). i had 1 drink. literally, 1 drink. i admitted it to my counselor and amethyst ended up hearing about it in her report. my counselor still said that i was a low risk. didnt even make me complete all the counseling. but amethyst says they want to hold my license for 6 more months because of that 1 drink. and even worse. i would have to report to myself about abstinence. HELLO!! u meatballs! i could just lie to you. so whats the point? sounds more like a punishment. they want to get an alcoholic (which im not) off the roads. but instead they are going to put a crazed man going postal pretty soon. GOOD JOB YOU KNOW IT ALLS

  20. Forcing the will of god is not the position of a profession counselor. Forcing your own belief system onto somebody else is also not acceptable. Putting people in jail because of christian beliefs is what they are doing. Considering the amount of people arrested for driving under a suspended license I would say the state is making quite a profit on this entire system. And there is no body to stop them because they are the ones in charge. This is the greatest example of how the rich profit on the poor. There is no way out of this. The only way to reach out is by protesting to the state. Everybody must do this in order to make things right! Amethyst house is a forced worship and do not wish to allow you with a license. Please stop these people from profiting off of the poor!

  21. Don't drink and drive duh....! Hopefully they drill the shit outta everyone to make sure you never want to get behind the wheel drunk again. I just finished the program and was very happy and confident that I now have the tools to make sure this never happens again. Good luck to you all.

  22. This program is bull. ^^This guy doesn't get it. If you're prone to risky behaviors, you're gonna engage in them pretty much no matter how much money they make you spend or how painful they make it.

I was 18 when I got my DUI I'm now 2 months shy of 19 and these jokers want me to do AA on top of having already dropped $150/session eight separate times with an alcohol counselor 45 minutes away from where I live, who did nothing for me personally. He was, in fact, admittedly a burnout and former drug user, and used his stories to try and pry incriminating statements out of me. It seems plain that there is some sort of agreement or agenda between several of the organizations, including West Central Behavioral Health (where I went for counseling) the Amethyst Foundation, and AA, or some combination of them.

Despite the fact that I lied my butt off to this guy (on the advice of others who have gone through similar situations) he managed to diagnose me as "alcohol dependent" for the soul reason that on my last appointment I admitted that my drinking was "out of control" on the night of my DUI. This of course was strongly suggested by the counselor, and I was more or less led to this answer. I had been hoodwinked. Literally the very second I said that, he smiled, and showed me his form, on which he had quoted me, and told me that I needed to attend AA for 3 months a minimum of once a week. As many of you are aware, getting around NH in most seasons is a pain, especially depending on the season and where you live. This applies to me, as we have to drive 30 miles down i91 just for groceries.

These money-grubbing racketeers need to be replaced with a better system. I am not suggesting that the consequences for DUIs be more lenient; they should not. However, perhaps a private foundation should not be trusted with the penalization of people convicted BY THE STATE. Perhaps, in stead, the state itself should have some sort of standardization. I paid a nearly $700 fine for the initial conviction on top of legal fees and most importantly my inability to hold a steady job because of transportation issues. Then I paid registration fees for Amethyst, and finally the counseling. It appears that there are enough people who feel the same way that there might be a basis for a class action suit. If this you feel this is ridiculous, keep comments to yourself, I do not care, I'm just adding my two cents and I'm not an attorney. I'm wondering why it hasn't happened already...

Good luck to all of us, and be CAREFUL.

They said its a "new" law I'm fighting this shot with the dmv..Its totally ridiculous!

I just read through this site, there is a woman that posted that has said she's spoken with WMUR and that they'd like to speak to people that have been treated poorly by this organization. If you go to that link there's information on how to contact her, also there are many more posts about how terrible the Amethyst Foundation is.

  28. I did my intake or evaluation (do not remember which was which), it is the one with all of the questions. I was shocked to learn they feel my honesty was in question, I answered truthfully on every question. Whatever standards they use I do not know but in my class of 16 people, all of us were rated as having our honesty in question and were sentenced to 6-12 sessions with a licensed alcohol counselor. All of us were pi@#edto learn that we were all classified the same way. The classes are not worth crap but you have to do what it takes to get out of this mess

  29. I've just started this process..
    Tow truck 150.00
    Attorney 3500.00
    Court Fees/Fine 620.00
Money order to state for $70
    Amethyst intake $75
    Amethyst evaluation (2 hours, took 1) $200
    IDEP class (3 Saturdays), deposit of $50 + $250
10 Individual counseling sessions (~$25/ea, my insurance copay - at this point, I don't care if my insurance knows, not sure how much they cost out of pocket, probably 100's)
Supposed to get license back after completing these..
NH DMV license renewal $100? maybe
    MA reinstatement (didn't receive a letter yet)...$$
    cabs/buses, etc...$$$$
This will drain a person mentally and financially.
Also, stopped working due to this.

    2. Yes, the court order said could be reduced to 90 days, while in actuality even if you follow it in an expeditious manner, it still ended up being 5 months due to paperwork. My attorney knows this and said the state reps won't do anything about it. So basically, I could have just done 9 months vs. 5 and not have had to deal with Serenity nightmare.

  30. Has anyone filed a lawsuit against these folks - ever?
Has anyone written to the NH governors office with a complaint? Or NH state senator/reps? Has anyone had any success in challenging the validity of the Substance Use Disorder evaluation test(507.03) or been able to obtain documented proof that the testing provided is fair &objective? Any documentation of who authors the testing and determines the scaling used?

I am trying to learn just how far anyone has gotten with any of the above... in my own quest to expose Amethyst for the moneymaking scam of an organization that it is.
    Thanks for your input!

  31. I can't believe what I am reading. I am just starting the process with Serenity and see that it is a total scam. Its a 1st offense DUI, and I already went for an intake where they did rating scales. I am a school psychologist, so I am very familiar with rating scales, when I asked the woman who conducted it what the "validity" of these scales where, she had no idea what I was talking about. because I am NOT an alcholholic and answered false to almost everything, I scored as being "dishonest" on the rating scales and "not self-revealing." I now have to meet with a LADC, and pay $260 to see her to be evaluated and was told that I will most likely have to attend counseling sessions with a drug/alcohol counselor, - well, that means she is already presuming I am an alcoholic right! I have had an attorney, through my whole DUI process and he is no help- he did not inform me at all about this piece, he just told me I would see an intake person, tell them it was a one-time thing, and then go to about 20 hours of alcohol education class. he didn't mention anything about the LADC, the counseling, and "check-in calls" 2 xtimes a month at $30 a call.
can anyone offer any advice? I refuse to start this process and get scammed like I am hearing. Its a bunch of BS.

I found it very odd that in a class of 15(IDEP)I was the only person who was not required to additional counseling. Granted there were a few second offenders but they dropped the bomb on the entire class. I did the 3 day class as opposed to the 72 hour brainwashing seminar at Bill W's house of dry drunks in Epping. if I chose the weekend option I think the end result would have been quite adverse. The 3 Saturday classes are a bad joke.I sat in the back of the room just struggling to stay awake.(not a morning person). This organization cannot be trusted. When it is all said and done pay the 10 dollar fee and get a copy of your file.

  35. So I had to go to this mess 20 years ago, but it never really ends. I went to get my record expunged and I needed a completion report. Mind you, I have not had a single drink in 20 years, never did drugs ever. They said they don't have a record of it, I said I have all the paperwork AND receipts. My lawyer contacts them, they go ok well if he can come in for an quick interview they can give me one. I go, they ask me stupid questions and then report me to the registry as "evasive", "dishonest" and "risk to repeat". Keep in mind no only sober for 20 years but not as much as a parking ticket in 20 years either. So now I need to go to a hearing with the registry and the vultures at Amethyst will not give me my letter of completion either. They are crooks plain and simple

  37. I recommend everyone track every single appointment, including details, location, with whom, document, document, document. Keep copies of every single document in order and track all payments, etc. Even the court order that said reduction from a certain amount of months of loss of license was not even possible due to Amethyst scheduling! Don't waste money on an attorney to reduce the loss in time of license because you won't even be able to achieve it even if you follow the instructions as quickly as possible. It doesn't work. Just do the license loss time if you are not required to go to Amethyst. It is not worth the headache and waste of time and money. I want to tell my story, but I think I blocked it out because of how traumatic it was. I do have it all documented though. fitnessbuff2013@yahoo.com
